This is not a djembe, but a traditional peg-tuned member of the sabar family.
The drum is carved from a single piece of solid wood and fitted with a natural goatskin head. The characteristic wooden peg tuning system allows fast and effective tension adjustment. The interior is roughly hollowed, as typical for traditional handcraft.
The tsungone is played with hand and stick and is known for its sharp attack and strong projection. A good choice for players looking beyond standard djembes, or for percussionists interested in authentic West African instruments.
